kinda updated
rd: Kinda Sorta has been updated with a Z Position option. nothing fancy here (i.e., it doesn’t take into account Z Anchor Point at this time).

Hi Jeff,
I know you are a busy man, but for future releases I would like to see KindaSorta include the ability to do the following:
sort layers in the timeline according to their xyz position in space, with the ability to specify the order in which x or y or z affects their position in the layer stack. eg, sorting by z is nice, but i would also like to be able to sort first by z, then x, then y, so the first layer in the stack is the one that is furthest forward in z, but if layers occupy the same z-position, they will then be sorted by their x, and if they occupy the same z AND x, they will then be sorted by Y. or, if i could choose to first sort by x, and my number1 layer would be the one with the smallest x value. does that make sense?
also it would be good to have a checkbox to sort layers either by their position, or by their absolute position in world/comp space. for example, if i want to sort a lot of layers parented to nulls, i get funny results when sorting by z, because the z position of the layer is not it’s “real” position in space.
thanks for some great scripts,
scott.
