hi sergey,

i've been working on an update that would allow batch pre-composing (based on a request from another user), so i'll see if i can add the renaming support with that. i don't have an estimate for when it'll be done, though.

thanks for your interest in this script.

Hello! rd: Pre-compose is very cool and usefull script, i searching for a lot time, thanx for a good job! Can you made another one version of that script - processing all of layers in a composition or selected layers to rd:Pre-compose with autonaming with a template (Pre-comp_name+#). Or 2 different scripts - layers processor: to process choosed script for all layers - layer by layer (such as image processor script in photoshop). Sorry for my bad english:)

sorry for such a late reply!

Obviously if it were to match the interpolation it would be absolutely awesome, but I think if it were to just match the keyframe times it would be sufficient. Thanks for the quick reply last time and thanks for all the hard work!

thanks, mike. i have no specific plans, but can look into it. would you expect it to match at Mask Path keyframe times only, or even inbetween (i.e., keyframe interpolation should match)? trying to do the latter might be more work.

i can add this request to my to-do list, but probably can't get to it immediately, so just subscribe to my site feed so you can be informed when it's available.

thanks!

Love all the work you've done for the AE community. I have really found your masks-to-shapes script useful. I was wondering if there was any plan to try and make it compatible with masks that are key-framed. I assume it's a lot harder to do, so if it's basically not possible, don't sweat it. I'm trying to use it in conjunction with maltaannon's shape extruder and having the ability to create pseudo-3D objects that change shape over time would be insanely awesome. Thanks again for all your hard work!

hi bill... yeah, unfortunately parametric shapes aren't supported because scripting doesn't have access to the shape vertices. if the star shape was initially created as a Bezier shape (i.e., holding down the Alt/Option key as you dragged out the star), then it'd work.

hey Zarxrax... thanks for the feedback. i guess i'm not as averse to PDF (single condensed file on disk), but i understand your concern. i have not decided on the delivery format(s).
